EY Joins Family Enterprise USA as Platinum Sponsor, Underwrites 2024 FEUSA Annual Family Business Survey

“We appreciate EY’s expertise, which will contribute to key research for understanding and better supporting family businesses,” says Family Enterprise USA President Pat Soldano

President of Family Enterprise USA Pat Soldano announced that Ernst & Young LLP (EY) has joined Family Enterprise USA as a title year-long Platinum Sponsor, which includes partnership in the development of the Family Enterprise USA Annual Family Business Survey, the nation’s only annual survey of the United States’ largest private employer, family businesses.

According to research, America’s multi-generational family-owned businesses contribute $7.7 trillion annually to the U.S. gross domestic product. Family businesses are the largest private employers in the country, accounting for 83.3 million jobs, or 59 percent of the country’s private workforce, the research shows.

“The research Family Enterprise USA develops each year is important for understanding the critical issues facing this significant sector of the economy,” said EY Americas Family Enterprise and Family Office Leader Robert (Bobby) Stover, Jr., based out of EY’s Dallas office. “We are pleased to collaborate with Family Enterprise USA to gather critical information for continuing to hone in on family businesses’ needs and support their growth and generational transition strategies across the United States.”

EY Family Enterprise Business Services supports family legacies and advises family enterprises, their owners and family members on how to protect, grow and preserve their wealth, while in turn dealing with the complex issues of succession, governance, and taxes. Stover, who leads the practice, has over 30 years of experience serving family enterprises. He is a regular instructor and speaker at seminars on business succession, family offices, and wealth transition topics throughout the US, Latin America, and Canada.

“We are delighted to share in EY’s expertise and sterling reputation in creating our survey,” said Family Enterprise USA President Soldano, about EY becoming a major sponsor. “The survey plays an important role in educating Congress and the members of the growing Congressional Family Business Caucus on the importance of family businesses to the economy and their needs,” she said. “EY has a long history of supporting family enterprises and family offices, and a keen understanding of this employers’ needs and point of view.”
