‘Future of Family Business’ Article Focuses on Tax Issues, Labor, and Inflation Findings from Recent Family Enterprise USA Survey

Survey Insights Detail Passing Ownership, Charitable Giving, Employee Retention in Family Business Magazine Story

The threat of additional new taxes, handling inflation worries, and managing for family businesses for the future were all part of a new feature story in Family Business Magazine. The article, largely based on Family Enterprise USA’s 2022 Annual Survey, details the study’s findings and insights into a wide variety of family business issues.

“Our findings pointed to many challenges facing family businesses, but one key insight the article points out is the threat of rising individual income taxes,” said Pat Soldano, president of Family Enterprise USA. “This helps tell the story that some forty-five percent of family businesses say rising income taxes are their number one worry,” she said.

The article, in Family Business Magazine’s “What’s Hot In Family Business” section, July/August 2022, also provides insights into how family businesses can defend against the increased rate of estate and capital gains taxes, and how multi-generational family businesses are passing down ownership.
