Award Winning Youth Video Filmmaker Tackles Importance of Family-Owned Businesses; Family Enterprise USA Annual Family Business Survey 2025 Data Used, Previewed at Recent Congressional Family Business Caucus
Ava Skye Barton, an internationally award-winning student documentary film maker, has created a new, short video focused on the importance of family-owned businesses in America.
Using data and insights from Family Enterprise USA’s Annual Family Business Survey 2025, Barton’s five-minute video explains the size and strength of family businesses, the issues of family dynamics, and the longevity and community involvement of family businesses. The video script was developed in conjunction with Family Enterprise USA and the video was previewed at the May 14 meeting of members of the Congressional Family Business Caucus on Capitol Hill.
Barton, a student at Elizabeth College, Elizabethtown, Pa., is recognized nationally and internationally. Her work has been presented in such film festivals as the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY), Anim Arte (Brazil), Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival, and the Student World Impact Film Festival.
