Thank you to Russ Sullivan and the team at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP for this report.
The Biden administration released its fiscal year (FY2022) discretionary budget request, also known as the “skinny budget.”

The request proposes $769 billion in non-defense discretionary funding, a 16% increase over the FY2021 enacted level, and $753 billion for national defense programs, a 1.7% increase.

Specific policies emphasized in the budget include funding to tackle the climate crisis, advance economic equity, invest in public health and address threats to domestic security.

The topline funding request allows congressional appropriators to begin the months-long appropriations process to fund the federal government—a process that ends on Sept. 30, unless a continuing resolution is passed.
Stay safe and healthy,

About Policy and Taxation Group
Policy and Taxation Group is your voice in Washington on economic freedom. We advocate for policies that allow American families to fully enjoy the economic liberties and benefits of a robust free market unique to our nation. For over 25 years, we have been the loudest voice in the nation’s capital on eliminating the death tax. This ill-conceived tax has a destructive impact on families, family businesses, job creation, and the national economy.
