The House and Senate have halted legislative business for the week due to the historic snowstorm. Both chambers will be on recess next week for the Presidents’ Day holiday and are scheduled to return the week of February 22.

The Senate did manage to accomplish some votes this week as well as continue negotiations on a bipartisan jobs package. Republicans have been seeking an agreement with Democratic leadership to secure a timeline for consideration of estate tax reform legislation as a condition of support for a jobs package.
